New Qualcomm processors: these are the Snapdragon 632, 439 and 429 for the mid and low range

Qualcomm has introduced new processors for the mid-range and low-end. Specifically, we talk about the Snapdragon 632, 439 and 429. Each of them is positioned midway in their respective ranges, meaning that they complete the processor manufacturer’s offer in lower cost devices, while democratizing some features such as dual cameras, now accessible to more devices.

Thus, if the Snapdragon 636 are for the medium-high range, the Snapdragon 632 are one point below. The new processor is 40 percent faster than the Snapdragon 626, it has screen support with resolution up to 1080p; cameras of a lens of up to 24 MP or double lens of 13 MP each objective. It also supports video capture in 4K.

The Snapdragon 439 is an update to the Snapdragon 430, and is supposed to be 25 percent faster and more efficient in battery consumption. It has support for 1080p screens, single camera of 21 MP or dual camera of 8 MP each sensor. The Snapdragon 429 offers the same percentage improvement over the Snapdragon 425; support for single 16 MP cameras or dual 8 MP cameras, with support for 720p resolutions when it comes to screens.

What are the main processor lines of Qualcomm?

Mainly, all these changes are intended for phone manufacturers, offering updated platforms that do not require major changes on their part. This means that, in general, everything is compatible with what they have already worked on , so they will not have to allocate an excess of resources to optimize future mobile phones with these processors.

Thus, in terms of power, the Snapdragon 800 continue to remain as the top of the range, especially the Snapdragon 845 used today in most premium phones. The Snapdragon 710 remains the most interesting option for the medium-high range (such as the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE). And these new Snapdragon 632, 439 and 429 complete the middle, low and input ranges respectively. Qualcomm fights on all fronts and offers all the chips that manufacturers may need, with a broad offer that increasingly offers more features at lower cost.
