The new Liva One Plus SoC is not the smallest computer from the Taiwanese ECS manufacturer , but with dimensions of 196 x 183 x 45 mm it is still quite small for a desktop computer, especially given the availability of two SATA III ports for drives, 7 USB ports, Ethernet, HDMI and VGA, as well as microphone and headphone jacks both front and rear.
The Liva One Plus SoC mini-PC will be available with Intel Celeron J4005, Celeron J4105 and Pentium J5005 Gemini Lake processors. It supports up to 8 GB of DDR4-2400 memory and can hold a 2.5-inch drive and M.2 2242 or M.2 2280 SSD. The small PC also supports 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2.
While Intel Gemini Lake chips are not very powerful, these 10-watt processors with Intel UHD graphics should be able to handle 4K video playback on multiple monitors, which makes them useful as media centers, digital signage or just for use as a small, quiet computer.
ECS has not yet announced the prices, but details about Liva One Plus SoC are posted on the company’s website.
