Xiaomi Mi Pad 4: first details on the new Xiaomi tablet

New day, new information about a soon to be released Xiaomi device. After recently the Xiaomi 6X was introduced, the manufacturer plans only a successor to the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 should even come, like the Mi 6X, with the strong Snapdragon 660 processor!

Xiaomi Mi Pad 4: first details on the new Xiaomi tablet

Xiaomi himself has not officially released any information about a possible release. The XDA Developers, however, have read a firmware that provides clear evidence of a new Xiaomi Mi Pad 4. For example, the source code contains information such as “is_pad,” a value that is true. Some suspected including the Xiaomi Mi Max 3, but these details speak a different language and speak for a tablet.

Much more interesting, however, are the possible specifications that the developers were able to read out. Because with the display Xiaomi could really dare something. Supposedly, a LC display in 18: 9 aspect ratio is installed. This 2: 1 aspect ratio has meanwhile prevailed on smartphones, we have not seen this with tablets yet. The pixel density should be at 320 pixels per inch. How this translates into screen size and resolution, remains uncertain. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 came in the classic 4: 3 display format.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 with a stronger CPU

The processor is almost certainly the Snapdragon 660 processor , which is also used in the Xiaomi Mi 6X and Mi Note 3. It is a strong eight-core processor consisting of Kryo 260 cores with a maximum of 2 GHz clock frequency. Since we were able to test this CPU already in Mi Note 3, we can say from experience that this is a strong processor! Details about a possible memory configuration do not exist so far. However, it is clear that the device has a 6,000 mAh battery .

Of course, Xiaomi also wants to block cameras that are secondary to a tablet. The main camera is the Omni vision OV13855 sensor with 13MP and a ƒ/2.0 aperture including portait mode. On the front is a 5MP sensor called Samsung S5K5E8 in use. In addition, it is very likely that the Mi Pad 4 comes with Android 8.1 and the latest MIUI surface on the market.

Since the leaks of the XDA developers have so far been very accurate, we are also confident that Mi Pad 4 will be released soon. Finally, the Mi Pad 3 is now already a good one and a half years old and now sold out everywhere. How do you feel about a possible successor? Superfluous or overdue ?
