Recently, as part of Global Sources Mobile Electronics 2018, the Chinese brand Elephone introduced the next long-life smartphone: Elephone P12 which is equipped with a 6000 mAh battery and supports fast charging technology. A while back, we introduced another cell phone with a 6000 mA battery called Cubot Power.
Elephone P12 will be based on a SoC MediaTek Helio X25 (MT6797T) Cortex-A53 deca-core from 20 nm to 64-bit with a maximum frequency of 2.5GHz, flanked by 4GB of RAM and 32 / 128GB depending on the versions, expandable with one microSD card slot. The 6.8 inch in-cell AUO screen has FHD+ resolution (2160 x 1080 pixels) and a notch that holds the 8MP front camera with the Flash LED and other sensors (brightness, proximity). At the bottom of the Home button, the fingerprint is hidden, while the 21MP main photo sensor stands out on the back(always with LED flash). This model will come with a 6000 mAh battery, so we expect a long battery life and fast charging through the USB Type-C port.
We still have no information on prices, but on the other hand we can show them live: both have modern lines, rounded corners and large screens, but Elephone P12 presents the notch with a wooden cover while Elephone P11 recalls a Huawei Mate 10 Pro with more classic design, ultra-thin side frames and metal cladding with a horizontal band. At first glance they look like premium smartphones (and the specifications confirm this), but knowing the company’s policy should not cost much more than a mid-range terminal sold by our parties.
