Many times we have joked with the idea that someday Xiaomi would launch his first moped. Well, the laughs ended because yesterday we woke up with the surprise that the new product in the crowdfunding platform of the Xiaomi store was precisely an electric motorcycle, the Super SOCO CU. The moped is manufactured by the company Super SOCO, developer of “smart” electric motorcycles based in Shanghai and present in more than 31 countries around the world. In fact, it already has several models in the market such as Super SOCO TS and TC.
The new Super SOCO CU, as it is called, has a 1080p HD wide-angle front camera and night vision, it also incorporates a gravity sensor that blocks the current image and stores it as evidence in the event of a collision. The rear light consists of high-brightness LED bars, with integrated steering and brake to achieve a good recognition.
The headlights are U-shaped and integrates both the driving light and the turn signals. They have an LED matrix design that reduces space occupation, dissipates heat and saves energy. In their “Auto” mode, these headlights turn on or off depending on the ambient light. In addition, its structure is compact, dust-proof and waterproof.
Its display panel is multi-functional, with high-definition VA liquid crystal display. It is clearly visible, with a wide angle of 150°. It incorporates a light detection system that adjusts the brightness of the screen while driving. In the handlebar we find tactile buttons of control, of high sensitivity that provide a comfortable sensation and better stability.
As for its battery, it is lithium and allows a range of up to 120 km (for a reference speed of 20 km/h and a weight of 70 Kg). The battery weighs about 10 kg and incorporates a handle for transport. It has a useful life of 5 years, equivalent to about 600 charging cycles.
It takes about 7 hours to load and allows you to see the load percentage
To this we must add a high performance kinetic energy engine, designed specifically for urban trips. Few motorcycles can say today that they have their own app, in this case called SOCO, which is currently only available in Chinese, though. It is compatible with both Android and iOS, and allows to know and diagnose the condition of the vehicle, anti-theft control, positioning, etc. It will be available in four colors : white, red, gray and gold, and its starting price in China will be about €635 at exchange.
