Leagoo has just released their new phone: Leagoo S9 and S9 Pro. Now, they are about to imitate another new mobile phone: Huawei P20 Pro.
With the Leagoo S10, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Leagoo today announced a smartphone with Tripple camera, which will be presented at the Hong Kong Global Sources Fair on April 18. The front of the Leagoo S10 is very similar to the Essential Phone, because the device has a rather small notch, in which the front camera is accommodated. The Leagoo S10 should be equipped with either a Snapdragon 845 or a Helio P60. However, we consider the use of a Snapdragon 845 to be extremely unlikely, as it is unlikely that the manufacturer will be able to obtain such chips at acceptable prices. You should be able to choose between 6GB RAM and 128GB memory and 8GB RAM and 256GB memory. For the display one apparently relies on an AMOLED panel, since a fingerprint sensor is to be integrated into the display.
We take a very critical look at the announcement of a Tripple camera. After Huawei installed an appropriate camera in the P20 Pro, which has its raison d’être, it was only a matter of time before some small Chinese manufacturer came around the corner and wanted to take advantage of the hype. The question is, what’s the point? Leagoo has not even been able to deliver a real dual camera. Like almost all small Chinese smartphone manufacturers, only fake dual cameras with no real benefit have been used for Leagoo devices up to now. So it has been impressively proven that you do not have the will or the necessary resources to implement several cameras in a meaningful way. The worst part is that in this dual camera madness also the quality in single camera mode suffers. From the small manufacturers there are hardly any devices that have a decent camera to offer. And now suddenly you want to install a triple camera? You can already imagine what this will be like again. Of course, we are also happy to learn a lesson and are therefore eager to see if and what Leagoo will actually present here.
