Honor 9 Lite is a new mid-range phone with four cameras

Honor 9 Lite

The rage of the dual cameras makes us see double… front and rear. Honor has just presented us its new Honor 9 Lite, a smartphone that we could already know in China last December and that now lands in market ready to eat the middle range phone with its 18:9 screen and its four cameras.

Honor 9 Lite Features

Honor continues to bet on the FullView format for the screens of its new releases and we are again in front of a panel with 18:9 aspect ratio and resolution 1080 x 2160 pixels, framed in a glass body with aluminum frame. Its overall dimensions, 151 x 71.9 x 7.6 mm and its weight of 149 grams leave us a smartphone quite pleasant to hand although, as is usual with this type of materials, it is still a magnet for fingerprints.

The Honor 9 Lite mainly boasts cameras. In the absence of one, four cameras distributed in two lenses for the rear and another two for the front. They are not the best on the market, but in their range of prices are a pretty interesting bet. In both cases, both rear and front, we have a dual 13 MP + 2 MP camera, with 1080p video recording.

As for their performance, we see a fairly familiar configuration in the Honor rows. A Kirin 659 processor, the hallmark of the house, operating with eight cores at a maximum clock frequency of 2.36 GHz or 1.7 GHz if we need to save energy. All this is accompanied by a Mali T830 MP2 GPU. Also, we have different versions to choose from: 3 GB + 32 GB / 4 GB + 32 GB + 32 GB / 4 GB + 64 GB, in all cases, extendable by microSD up to an additional 256 GB.

As for your connectivity options, nothing to impress, but at the same time quite complete for what we expect from a phone of this range: WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, BDS, GLONASS and LTE.

As an operating system, we found an old acquaintance of Huawei / Honor. EMUI, the customization layer of the house, is present in version 8.0, based on Android Oreo.

And finally, we end our review of the characteristics of this Honor 9 Lite with one point in favor and one point against: the charging port is microUSB again, but its battery of 3,000 mAh leaves us a balance of consumption quite adequate. The Honor 9 Lite arrives on the Spanish market today for 229 euros.
