Already at the IFA 2017 the TrekStor Primetab P10 was released towards the end of the summer . It is a 10.1-inch Android tablet, which feels relatively high-quality thanks to a metal case. Now TrekStor announced in a press release the launch of the LTE version. The TrekStor Primetab P10 LTE is published in Germany at a suggested retail price of 249 euros.
Most shops have not yet listed the TrekStor Primetab P10 LTE. At Amazon, however, it has already surfaced for around 234 euros. It is interesting that the internal hardware with the WLAN version is not congruent. Sure, the LTE model has an LTE module. But inside sits an unspecified 1.3GHz quad-core processor. In the WLAN version we get a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT8163 quad-core chip.
With the LTE version of the Primetab P10, you can not only make mobile calls to the internet, but also make phone calls and send text messages. Other features include 2GB of RAM on both models, a 32GB internal memory and a 10.1-inch FullHD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The operating system is Android 7.0 Nougat, which has hardly adapted TrekStor. That is a good thing. It is a pity that no update to Android 8.0 Oreo is planned.
There are two cameras that resolve with 2 and 5 megapixels. In addition, a microSD Karenslot is installed, which can hold up to 128GB memory cards. There is also an HDMI output and a microUSB connection.
At the IFA I really liked the TrekStor Primetab P10. The processing is slightly higher quality than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 , which is made entirely of plastic. For Samsung is comparatively exemplary with updates. As I said, according to the TrekStor representatives at the IFA there will be no update for the primetab. That’s a pity, but at least they are honest. Many manufacturers are promising updates that will never be released.
The recommended retail price is somewhat high with 249 euros. For the money you get namely the Galaxy Tab with LTE. But the Amazon price of 234 euros is a bit better. Also, the wireless version was the way directly cheaper than the recommended retail price. This currently costs 186.99 euros.
