The Teclast F6 Pro is a new convertible from China. Highlights include a 13-inch FullHD display, an Intel Core m3 and an extra SSD slot.
There is a new convertible notebook from the Chinese manufacturer Teclast. The Teclast F6 Pro is 13.3 inches tall, has a rotatable display and an Intel Core m3 processor of the seventh generation. There are also premium features like a fingerprint reader. The highlight of the 2-in-1 is the price. In the China Store GearBest it costs in the flash sale for the launch of the F6 Pro only about 381 euros.
Teclast also offers some accessories for the F6 Pro. This includes a wireless mouse, a protective bag and an active stylus. For the accessories currently 39.22 euros are due. Exact information about the pen I could not find so far. For the first 100 sales, the accessory package is currently available for free.
Teclast F6 Pro Hardware & Specifications
As usual for many China devices, we get comparatively much hardware at a reasonable price. So inside sits an Intel Core m3 processor of the seventh generation. There is not yet an eighth-generation Core m3. It is a 1 GHz dual-core chip, whose two cores can clock up to 2.6GHz in the Turbo Boost. Since it is a Core m3, the Teclast F6 Pro is completely passive cooled. So there are no loud fans.
Other features include 8GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD. It’s pretty exciting that you can open an SSD expansion slot on the difference. You can even install a larger SSD without having to open the whole case.
The 13.3-inch display is a touch screen and has a FullHD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. As I said, it is a rotatable display. This can turn the notebook into a tablet. The operating system is of course Windows 10.
It is also interesting that a fingerprint reader is built into the touchpad. This allows you to quickly unlock the Teclast F6 Pro thanks to Windows Hello. Where, fast is relative. It takes 2 seconds, according to Teclast’s promotional material. This is not as fast as the latest smartphone fingerprint reader. But still faster than typing in a long password.
On connectors, the F6 Pro has a USB Type C port, two large USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI output and a microSD card reader to offer. There is also a 3.5 millimeter jack connection.
Teclast F6 Pro: Is it recommended?
For the price, the specifications of the Teclast F6 Pro are pretty exciting. We get a FullHD display, a nimble Intel Core m3 and some nice features like a fingerprint reader and the SSD expansion slot. I have not tested the convertible yet. You also have to keep in mind that it comes from China and in case of doubt it has no claim to warranties.
I first thought that the Teclast F6 Pro is a TrekStor Primebook C13 with a different name. The two convertibles look very similar, but there are little differences in the design. In the hardware anyway. TrekStor relies on the weaker Intel Celeron N3350 processor. Also, there are only 4GB of RAM and 64GB of memory. With currently 333 euros, it is even slightly cheaper – but as I said, also much weaker. Especially because of the Core m3 the Teclast F6 Pro is pretty exciting. I will try to get a test copy.
