Leagoo M9 short review

Leagoo M9 Kamera

Technological development has reached standards that we never thought possible. It was not long ago that cameras just invaded our lives to begin to be an integral part of the daily lives of users. We went from large cameras that required bases to be used until the first phone that included these devices, and from then on everything has been a constant improvement in search of the perfect image. LEAGOO seeks this perfection, and that is why it brings us the new LEAGOO M9, a mobile phone that promises spectacular photographs thanks to its 4 cameras. Join us to discover this new technological beast. Leagoo is no longer a blank slate and surprised by a pending iPhone X clone. However, this is still in its infancy as they launch a new low-budget smartphone. The Leagoo M9 comes with, unusual for this price range, four cameras.

In the design Leagoo adapted the current trend, without setting special accents. You do not aim for a borderless design, but you remain true to a classic line. These are set to dimensions of 14.8 x 7.12 x 0.95 cm, which correspond approximately to a typical 5.2 inch smartphone. The case of the Leagoo M9 is either black, blue or gold and is basically made of plastic. However, the manufacturer refines it with metal elements. The case is rounded at the sides, which makes it comfortable to hold in your hand. The front leaves room for two clearly visible screen edges on top and bottom. The back is also very unobtrusive and has room for camera, flash and fingerprint sensor. Very unusual is the positioning of the micro USB port on the top. So far we only know this from the Cubot Magic.

Between the two aforementioned screen edges, the display extends over a 5.5 inch diagonal . Interestingly, the IPS display resolves with a resolution of 1280 x 640 pixels. This results in a pixel density of 260 ppi, ie pixels per inch. Interesting because so far no smartphone has met with such a resolution. In the price category and with this format the other minimum is actually a resolution of 1440 x 720p. But this display with 18: 9 aspect ratio is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 , which definitely brings a plus point. By the way, Leagoo herself gives a screen-to-body ratio of 80%.

That Leagoo addresses itself here clearly to users without high performance claim, shows also the installed hardware. The quad-core CPU MT6580A MediaTek clocked at 1.3 GHz in the maximum four cores. The built-in graphics chip is the Mali-400. Unfortunately, technology enthusiasts do not really get their money’s worth, but that’s not the purpose of this phone. With a memory combination of 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory , you also move to the minimum. A battery from LG supplies the M9 with power. It is based on a capacity of 2860 mAh, That seems relatively little at first glance. However, one has to keep in mind that the hardware components and the display do not consume so much resources. Therefore, the capacity seems still acceptable and should bring one through the day.

Four cameras

The special feature of the Leagoo M9 are the four cameras that the smartphone has. This is already a unique feature in this price range. On the back there are two camera lenses, one with 8 megapixels and one with 2 megapixels. Whether the second camera upgrades the photo quality, however, I dare to doubt. On the front we also have two cameras, one sensor with 5 megapixels dissolves and the second also with two megapixels. Apparently, these are not intended for facial recognition as in the Doogee Mix 2.

Powered by an efficient quad-core processor, the M9 is able to handle your daily tasks with ease and enjoy smooth performance. Thanks to the MT6580 processor combined with 2GB of RAM, the M9 performs with ease in most applications and games.

Powered by an efficient 2850mAh LG battery, the LEAGOO M9 can last all day with a single charge. After 500 times of loading and unloading, at least 90% of its initial nominal capacity is still retained in the battery and its service time is twice that of ordinary batteries.

Together with LEAGOO OS optimizations at the system level, it guarantees up to an average of 7 days of waiting time. Now you can enjoy movie marathons, run applications and play without worrying about running out of battery.

Operating system

Leagoo M9 Betriebssystem

Experience the new Android 7.0 Nougat on the M9 . The new LEAGOO OS 3.0 works perfectly with the MTK6580 chip to give the M9 a much smoother operating speed and a more stable user experience. Based on Android 7.0, our engineers have optimized the operating system, allowing you to customize your phone with more intelligent interactions. Show your identity with a unique experience.

Without LTE?

If a smartphone should be as inexpensive as possible, manufacturers often save on extras. That is understandable, but it can also generate some displeasure. Leagoo saves on the LTE capability of Leagoo M9. Nevertheless, it probably offers a nano-SIM and a micro SIM card slot. A space for a microSD card is also available, so that the scarce memory of 16 GB can be extended. GPS is also available, as is Bluetooth 4.0. If you need a fast internet connection, you need 802.11 b / g / n WiFi.

Where to buy LEAGOO M9

The LEAGOO M9 can be obtained for a price of $79.99 at the time of its official departure. However, only during pre-sale, you can buy it with a 20% discount, so the device will come out for only $59.99. Take advantage of this offer of madness to acquire this fantastic terminal.
