We know that for some time now rugged phones have had quite an interesting stir in the market, with new models from well-known companies and also more and more presence of new brands, such as Aermoo M1 that we recently presented. Today we’ll talk to you about another new roaring phone on the market. The Snopow M10 has a set of quite interesting features, especially considering the fact that it is a rugged Smartphone designed for adventures. Let’s review the most interesting details of this new device that will begin to fade in Gearbest from December 13th.
The design of this phone doesn’t change much to what rugged Smartphones have us accustomed to, built in metal and protected with a protective rubber rim that will help you absorb impacts so you don’t suffer damage. It measures 16.70 x 8.90 x 2.20 cm and is quite heavy, as they are 337 grams of pure power that you will have in your hands. It’s a bit interesting and different that it incorporates 2 physical buttons, (a fairly old system), one for answering calls and the other for hanging them up, as we used to see on old cell phones. It also has 2 capacitive buttons, which are return and options.
Of course, the Smartphone is IP68 certified, so it is completely dust protected and can be submerged up to 30 meters of water for 30 minutes. In the back we find a metal plate that indicates it, along with descriptive icons that certify the resistant qualities of the smartphone. It features the one-touch SOS system and an ideal push button for communication (PTT).
It has a 5-inch IPS panel with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080p, which can be operated with gloves and in the rain without any problem. It is also protected against scratches and scratches by Corning Gorilla Glass 4th generation, which has a technology superior to previous versions. There is no doubt that we are looking at a pretty interesting screen to own a roaring smartphone, as it is capable of providing a pretty good visual experience.
The Snopow M10 incorporates a Mediatek 6757 eight-core chip that can reach a frequency of 2.4GHz. It also has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB by means of an external micro SD memory (which is not included in the package). When it comes to graphics, there’s a Mali T880 GPU, which will give us moderate performance for games and videos in general.
We can not doubt that we are facing a strong enough to be a roaring Smartphone, because with the combination of memory that has, we will not have problems to handle multitasking or heavy applications.
In the back we will find a 16MP sensor that incorporates the basic functions and modes of photography. On the front we have an 8MP sensor that provides good performance for Selfies and video calls. We would say that this is a set of medium-performance sensors that fulfil their function, but will not produce great results, especially if the necessary light conditions are not met.
It has a dual SIM slot (standard size), a 3.5 mm jack type audio input and a micro USB port that supports OTG. If we are talking about wireless connections, it has Bluetooth V4.0, connection to WiFi using the 802.11b/g/n protocol, GPS, Glonass, and the NFC function to make payments. Its operating system is Android Nougat 7.0.
The Snopow M10 has an immense 6500mAh battery, which ensures its long-term use even in the most extreme conditions. Now we can understand why the Smartphone is so heavy, and how not to be so powerful. It’s definitely not a dedicated phone at all, but surely for those adventurers it can be a perfect Smartphone, as well as robust and durable, it’s quite powerful in performance.
