That Xiaomi is going to give another twist to the mid-range with its Redmi 5 and Redmi Note 5 is something that everyone already knows but… why aren’t they still on the market? It was speculated that the new Redmies should be presented but there is a problem that plagues its CEO.
The new range of mobile phones with small bezels (and not a full screen because the edges are visible) is about to fall and in fact, some of them have already been filtered in TENAA before their official launch on the market. The best thing is that, despite knowing practically all the details, they have not yet been officially presented.
What’s waiting for us in the new Redmi 5 and Redmi Note 5?
Xiaomi could introduce 3 new phones with much smaller bezels, the Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus and Redmi Note 5 although, the second one doesn’t make much sense to us. All 3 models would have something in common, a very large display in a very small body and look 18:9, following industry trends. However, they would have different prices and differentiated characteristics.
- Redmi 5 – 5.7-inch screen with HD+ resolution, Snapdragon 450 and a 3GB version of RAM for about $120.
- Redmi 5 Plus – 5.99-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution, 3 or 4 GB RAM and 32 or 64 GB storage. Inside it would be a Snapdragon 625 and launched for a price between $150 and $195 dollars.
- Redmi Note 5 – This terminal would be similar to the Redmi 5 Plus in size and screen but would have more memory variants, possibly a different chip and perhaps a double camera like the Xiaomi My A1, starting from a price of 240 dollars.
When will the new Redmi 5 Series be launched?
According to the news source, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun wants the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi Note 5 to be presented when there is enough stock to sell them and more considering that they will be presented before Christmas. Xiaomi is known for its small batches of phones that quickly run out but now is not the time for things to happen that way. Xiaomi wants to avoid the mistakes of the past and could wait until early December to present the new Redmi 5 and Redmi Note 5, some mobile phones that are going to turn the mobile landscape around.
