First comparison of cameras between OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T

OnePlus 5T vs OnePlus 5

The OnePlus 5T is one of those mobile phones that is known for its special resemblance to the Oppo RS11 – because they are the same company and share inverters and manufacturing processes – and thanks to the thousands of leaks that have followed one after another in recent months.

But there is one exception that we didn’t know anything about until now, and that is whether they have really improved the camera compared to their successor, OnePlus 5, or whether it has remained the same with a small improvement. It is worth remembering that the camera of this flagship killer was not one of the best on the market and so it is expected that its vitamin version can stand up to competition from Samsung or other companies.

The first thing we must say is that the general approach has changed, that is to say, no photo TV or wide-angle TV, something that for some is a step backwards compared to its predecessor but as we see now we gain in some aspects that could justify this absence.

What has changed is the focal aperture of the second lens, being able to collect more light and get more information and a better result in the final image. Early tests show that the OnePlus 5T is capable of taking the image without the help of ISO, just as its younger brother did. This translates into an image with less noise as such and shows us that the photographic section captures more light, all this in automatic mode, of course.

As far as the portrait mode is concerned, there are several substantial differences, the first of which is that it focuses more on the background without touching anything, although it still has some of the problems of which its old version sinned, that is, it does not manage to speed up the edges of the main object as much as some competing models do. Finally, to say that the colors are slightly more saturated, something that from our point of view makes the image more attractive.

In conclusion, it can be said that we observe an overall improvement in terms of image quality and level of detail but we lose especially in that we no longer have TV photo, something of what as you could see in the photo shown above is noticeable loss of quality but it is not something too serious… What do you think?
