Last November 2nd, Xiaomi, one of the world’s leading mobile phone companies, announced the release of the stable version of MIUI 9 for Redmi Note 4 and Mi Max 2; this was the first batch of phones that the firmware would reach.
The stable version of MIUI 9 reaches Mi 5
This week, the stable version of MIUI 9 will be released in Mi 5, Mi Max, Redmi 4 and Redmi Y1 / Y1 Lite. In addition, this very morning, the Chinese company announced that it has started implementing the stable version of MIUI 9 on the Xiaomi Mi 5, one of its flagship phones.
The update in question comes with codename MIUI 184.108.40.206. NAAMIEI and is 571 MB in size. In addition to the novelties, it includes the October security patch, which is a big plus. This update has some very interesting news, which Xiaomi users are sure to appreciate very much: screen divided in MIUI, screen recorder, animations… A world of possibilities!
There are two great novelties in the stable version of MIUI 9. On the one hand, the multiventane. It is a feature that was not available in MIUI 8 and moved to the next version. And, on the other hand, facial recognition; Xiaomi 5 users will be able to unlock their phone with their face. It is not as advanced as Face ID, but I’m sure it works.
