The new HTCs are here! Even if the HTC U11 Plus is the one that gets the most attention, we can’t forget the HTC U11 Life. A mid-range device with some very interesting features like Edge Sense and its participation in the Android One program.
Xiaomi recently launched the Xiaomi Mi A1 and it seems that this will be the main rival of the HTC U11 Life but the Xiaomi cost half and offers more or less the same, anyone have doubts who will sell more? Coming with Android One will help you get to Android Oreo and Google Assistant to much of the world, although in America it will arrive with Android 7.1.2 Nougat and the integrated Amazon Alexa assistant.

Design of the HTC U11 Life
The HTC U11 Life is coated with acrylic glass, which is of lower quality and cheaper than the HTC U11 Plus. It measures 149.09 x 72.9 x 8.1 mm and weighs 142 grams.
There is no doubt that the IP67 water and dust protection certificate is a major consideration; it can be immersed up to 1 metre deep for a maximum of 30 minutes. We believe it is the first Android One with IP67 resistance.
HTC U11 Life Screen
The screen is a 5.2 inch Super LCD with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It therefore offers a decent resolution for this screen, with a pixel density of 423.64 pixels per inch. For a midrange phone, the truth is that it’s not bad at all.
HTC U11 Life Camera
The resolution of the rear camera is fine, 16 megapixels. We will have to see how it performs in dimly lit environments with f/2.0 but the truth is that, if the lens is good, it doesn’t have to go wrong although we will need to be quite still with our hands when taking the picture. Best of all, your camera can record videos with up to 4K resolution and high quality audio.
The front camera also has a resolution of 16 megapixels and an aperture of f/2.0. You can record video with FullHD resolution. The HTC U11 Life is great for selfies lovers but not as well thought out for this as the new Xiaomi Redmi Y1 which costs 4 times less.
HTC U11 Life processor and memory
The new HTC Life appliance features a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor with 3GB or 4GB of RAM; two models are available depending on the country. For internal memory, 32 or 64 GB expandable up to 2 TB with microSD card. A hardware more than enough for a good performance but its battery seems to be a little bit fair to enjoy a better than average autonomy, probably remains normal.
Active edges in a medium range
It’s one of the great attractions of this phone. By simply pressing the sides of the device we can access a wide selection of functions, such as running the Google Wizard. A few days ago we discovered how to modify the Edge Sense performance on Pixel 2.
Price of HTC U11 Life
The phone will have an approximate price of 369 euros per change. Upon availability, the booking period will open today, November 2nd in the UK. The exact launch date is not known at the moment and it is not known whether it will arrive in Spain or not.
After HTC has sold part of its staff to the Google team, we don’t believe that this mobile phone can be very well received in the market, especially because of its price of 400 euros, which in many cases is higher than the Xiaomi Mi 6, and which is practically nothing higher. What do you think of the new HTC U11 Life? Do you like it?
