With the name of ASUS VivoMini VC68V, we are presented by ASUS a new mini modular PC that has a very careful design. In this device we have the possibility to mount three different configurations changing the top, a compact two 2.5 “disk, one with optical drive and two 2.5″ disks and finally a four disc version of 2.5”.
The ASUS VivoMini VC68V besides having new this design mounts a hardware configuration quite interesting, as the core have two versions one with processor Intel Core i7-7700 and the other with Core i5-7500, two very powerful processors Intel GPU riding a HD Graphics 620 or 630. In addition to the modular storage options mentioned, we can mount two SODIMM DDR4 RAM modules up to 2400 MHz, an M.2 disk compatible with Intel Optane. The system comes with wireless ac adapter, Bluetooth 4.2 and Gigabit Ethernet port.
At the level of connections the ASUS VivoMini VC68V has a front panel with specific buttons to use Skype and integrates a special chip of sound Texas Instruments oriented to the improvement of the communication by Internet. We have two USB 3.1 Type-A Gen 2 ports, four other USB 3.1 Type-A Gen 1 ports, COM port, in / out audio jacks, two DisplayPort 1.2 connectors and an HDMI port that are supposed to allow us to output image 4K @60fps. This mini PC does not seem to be available yet and we do not know its price but surely it is not the most economic model in the market.
