When it seemed that the story with the Snapdragon 836 had come to an end, new information again put the Qualcomm processor in focus. Just a few days ago we told you that Qualcomm will not launch a Snapdragon 836. It was pointed out that the company was not developing this chip and that the successor of Snapdragon 835 was going to be 845. But it seems that it is not.
But does the Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 exist or not?
According to the latest information, Qualcomm will not launch the Snapdragon 836 until early next year 2018. At first it was believed that Google’s Pixel 2 would be the first smartphone to incorporate this phone. But it will not be so as Google will put its device on sale this 2017 and the Snapdragon 836 will not be ready minimum until January 2018.
The story we are living with Snapdragon 836 is becoming more like a soap opera, and no one explains why so much trouble. At first Qualcomm promised to Google that there would actually be the Snapdragon 836. Therefore, until a few days ago everyone assumed that this would be the Google Pixel 2 chip . But now we can confirm that it will not be so; Pixel’s older brother will have the Snapdragon 835 as a processor.
What do we know about the Qualcomm Snapdragon 836?
The information we have right now about the Snapdragon 836 is not much. As we have said, it will arrive in early 2018, but without any specific date. Not even the name of the chip is too clear. Some experts point out that it could be called otherwise, perhaps Snapdragon 845.
We are sure that there are still many chapters in this story that seems to have no end. What does seem to be 100% clear is that Qualcomm will not launch a new processor this year 2017. We’ll have to wait until 2018 to see the Snapdragon 836 or Snapdragon 845, who knows.
As always, we will be very attentive to any information that may arise regarding Qualcomm chips. We will continue counting!
What do you think of all this? Do you think we will actually see the Qualcomm Snapdragon in the market?
