Packaging and design

Packed is the Ulefone Power in a black box with a silver “Power” lettering. The name also places the focus on the main feature of the smartphone: the strong battery. But to that later. The mobile phone is equipped with USB charging cable, power plug, headphones, a transparent case and a protective film, as well as a fairly brief manual. Cover and foil are not self-evident and a nice addition.

Ulefone Power
Is there power inside where power stands?

In design, of course, first of all the weight of just under 197g, as soon as one takes the mobile phone in the hand, which of course is due to the battery. With 9,5mm it is also quite thick. Apart from being 5.5 inches in any case is quite large, I find this personally but not further disturbing, and it would have been even more difficult presented.

On the right side there is also a camera button which is especially useful with Selfies.

The smartphone has a metal frame, while the back is made of glossy plastic; Below the camera is like a lot of Chinahandys lately a fingerprint sensor. I would certainly not speak of a noble or high-quality exterior, but overall it is coherent and at least not “cheap”. Removable is not the rear side, because the battery is firmly installed.

Also the full-HD display of the Ulefone pleases, offers 401ppi and represents colors well.

Power & Battery

The Ulefone Power does not make any giant leaps, but thanks to its MediaTek MTK6753 octa core processor and the 3GB RAM. Here nothing hurts and jerks in everyday use, and also most of the game run easily on the device. With a smartphone, where the focus is so on the battery, is not a matter of course.

Ulefone Power Smartphone Benchmarks
Benchmarks of Ulefone Power: Neat

So we come to the battery, and here is the smartphone really in itself. 6050mAh speak for themselves, but to put the times times in relation to: Just 3000mAh, thus the half, are installed in many good smartphones and can be considered as “good” storage capacity. With the battery of the power can be bridged with normal (not excessive) use for 4 days. The values in the Geekbench battery test were pretty impressive (almost 17 hours with a dimmed display), but the app made a few problems, so we could not make a screenshot. Just believe us at this point, the battery is as good as promised.😉

The 13MP main camera from Sony has an LED flash and a f/1.8 aperture. The quality of the pictures is not quite up to date and can not keep up with current top models. If the camera but does not have exorbitantly high expectations will nevertheless be satisfied.

Network and telephony

The Ulefone Power supports all German LTE bands, which is often a decisive criterion for many Chinese smartphones. So there is no reason to complain. Overall the reception of the phone is pleasingly good, as well as the conversation quality. No deductions at this point.

The mobile phone is also dual SIM capable, but makes a choice before, the choice of a second SIM or SD card to expand the memory.

If you want to increase the Ulefone Power, this is probably because of the above-average strong battery want to do. If that is your main criterion, you can strike without hesitation; Also, who uses the mobile phone a lot, it will have to load only every two days. But apart from the battery capacity Ulefone makes almost everything right here, especially in this price category. Only the camera is “only” mediocre; Who can overlook it gets here but a really good smartphone with huge battery.
