The landing of the AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors is approaching and with it the main motherboard makers are rushing to finalize and present their solutions for the return of AMD to the HEDT segment of the PC processors. ASRock has not wanted to waste time and has shown details of the X399 Fatal1ty Professional Gaming.
ASRock X399 Fatal1ty Professional Gaming and X399 Taichi
ASRock X399 Fatal1ty Professional Gaming is a new motherboard based on the socket TR4 and the X399 chipset to give life to the new AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors, thanks to which we can enjoy configurations of up to 16 physical cores with a maximum price for the processor. 999 dollars officially, of course in the case of Spain will have to add taxes.
The socket is powered by a powerful 11-phase VRM power supply that ensures great stability and electrical power, hopefully this time the duties have been done well and we will not hear of temperature problems in the VRM system as in the case of The Intel Skylake-X processors. The features of the board continue with four reinforced PCI Express slots so they can withstand the weight of the most powerful and heavy graphics cards on the market without any problems.
We continue with eight SATA III 6 Gb/s ports and three M.2 slots that allow us to enjoy large doses of storage in addition to being able to perfectly combine all the benefits of the most modern SSD disks and the most traditional mechanical disks. Finally we highlight a 7.1 sound system and a 10 Gb/s Ethernet network port with an AQUANTIA controller.
ASRock will also launch the Taichi X399 with identical features except the absence of the 10 Gb/s Ethernet port. Both support memories at a maximum speed of 3600 MHz.
