A new member of the mid-range product has passed through our hands. And, this, offers details that make it differential with respect to other models that we have analyzed in Topes de Gama. We refer to the ZTE Blade V8, a device that stands out in the photography section and also by its screen.
The truth is that it is becoming more complex to emphasize in this segment of the market where this ZTE Blade V8 is placed. So, when a device gets it, it’s worthy of praise … and this one from ZTE goes that way. A clear example of what we say is that the sound offered by the terminal – without reaching the levels of the Axon 7 – is quite good and powerful, the best in its price range, that is no doubt.
In what has to do with the operating system included in the terminal, the one chosen is Android Nougat (7.0), but with a strong personalization like the one developed by the company, called MiFavor. This offers quite a few changes in what has to do with the “pure” development of Google. And, besides, it does not lack a good dose of bloatware to the ZTE Blade V8-although, luckily, it is possible to uninstall are the slightest problem). That is, on the one hand, but not on the other.
Aesthetics of the ZTE Blade V8
There are no big surprises in the ZTE Blade V8, since everything is in the usual places and, besides, it does not lack the metal like construction material, which always adds a plus of attraction in the mobile devices. With a unibody finish, it is not possible to access the battery of this device. It should be noted that, despite having a thickness of only 7.7 millimeters, the manufacturer has not removed the headphone jack.
The ZTE Blade V8 is in good hands when used, and access to the hardware buttons is simple and comfortable (they are all on the right side, with the split volume, by the way). On the left side is the tray for the cards and the front is quite clean with a central Home button which is where the fingerprint reader is located – efficient and fast – which is perhaps somewhat narrow in our opinion.
At the bottom is the speaker that is integrated into the ZTE Blade V8 and also the microphone of the device and a microUSB port for recharging. Yes, this interface is maintained on this smartphone, which is not to many liking (including Jaume). Behind, the carcass is very clean, and not particularly dirty, where only highlights at the top something that we will talk about later and that makes it different from this middle range: it has two sensors in its main camera.
ZTE Blade V8 Hardware
The truth is that we hear a lot of the components inside the device. The processor is an eight-core Snapdragon 435 that integrates an Adreno 505 as a GPU. There are two options for RAM 2 or 3 GB (as well as storage, 16 or 32 “gigas”, respectively). So, we found a performance that we already know and that is quite solvent and only suffers the ZTE Blade V8 when running very demanding game or have a lot of open applications.
The screen is one of the components that we liked most of this ZTE Blade V8. Possibly one of the best we’ve seen in its price range, and stands out for a powerful brightness and a respectable intensity for the 5.2 inches that has size and, as a resolution, you get to 1080p – it is possible to configure this element By software in sections such as saturation. Regarding the battery, the battery has a capacity of 2,730 mAh. And, the truth is, there is something small to say clearly that it is good. A load of three thousand would have been much better. Here, precisely, the terminal does not stand out.
The connectivity is correct, since it does not include NFC and, this, can be a problem for those who already like to make mobile payments, which are more and more. But otherwise you should not miss anything else, such as the option of using microSD cards to expand the internal storage.
Photo and final details of the ZTE Blade V8
This section is what makes the device different, both by the inclusion of two sensors on the back (13 and 2 Mpx each), as well as the good general behavior they offer when taking photos, even when The light is not very good. The truth is that if it is not the best, it is one of the best in the market in its segment, and it is so very positive. It records to 1080p the element, and the application seems complete, but something complex to use.
To be that the use of the second back element serves for the effect of defocused (bokeh) and is not bad, but the use of the software in the final results is quite noticeable. In what has to do with the selfies, it is necessary to emphasize that the front sensor is also of 13 megapíxeles and, the truth is that behaves very well since it is quite precise and its angular destacable.
The price of the ZTE Blade V8 is 249 euros and, the truth is that valuing everything we have said it should be said that this smartphone is more than worthy.
